Overview

FLISoL Pereira 2024 was one of the largest editions of the Latin American Free Software Installation Festival held in Colombia’s Coffee Region.

As one of the event leaders, I coordinated the organization of the festival at the Technological University of Pereira, bringing together approximately 500 attendees, more than 20 technical talks, and multiple communities interested in Linux, Free Software, Open Source, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, software engineering and other open technologies.

Background

FLISoL is the largest Free Software outreach event in Latin America, celebrated simultaneously across dozens of cities every year.

The Pereira edition aimed to connect students, software engineers, companies and technology communities through technical talks, networking opportunities and educational activities centered on open technologies.

My Role

I served as one of the primary organizers of the event, coordinating both technical and operational aspects, including:
